From Sunny TX to Snowy NY!

by Kelly Long on December 10, 2009

Growing up in Buffalo, I encountered alot of snow. And when I say a lot … I mean it. December was (for the most part) always spent in a White Winter Wonderland; complete with a few feet of snow, sledding and hot chocolate. The brightly shining sun looking upon freshly fallen snow was always a beautiful sight to see.

Lost: Living in San Antonio, this is my first holiday season without any snow. It doesn’t make sense! Decorations seem incomplete, trees look different … where is the snow?

Found: 3 feet of snow in Buffalo, NY!! Sent from my sister, Danielle, keeping warm by a fireplace in the log home I grew up in.

Hello Snow!

Found: The horrible driving conditions that come with living in the snow.  Steve Boese on his ride home

Found: An insight … maybe I don’t miss the snow all THAT much! ;) After an hour, I’d be over this snow nostalgia!

Stay warm everyone! Sending sun to Western New York from the newly minted Texan.
